An Amazon product data API and what Amazon's own APIs allow.

Amazon's own product API is for its affiliates. The Product Advertising API 5.0 is deprecated and replaced by the Creators API, which Amazon opens to Associates with at least 10 qualifying sales in the past 30 days, starting at one request per second. The Selling Partner API is for sellers and vendors working with their own business data.

When Amazon's API is the right tool

If you earn affiliate commission by linking to Amazon products, use the Creators API: it is built for that, its links carry your tag, and Amazon's policies tie showing ratings and reviews on your site to links obtained through it. If you sell on Amazon, the Selling Partner API covers your own orders, inventory, shipping and payments.

If you need to track prices, ranks or reviews across products you do not sell, without an affiliate business behind you, a product data API is the practical route.

Questions people ask.

Is the Amazon Product Advertising API still available?

Amazon says PA-API 5.0 has been deprecated and replaced by the Creators API, and that applications still calling PA-API 5 receive an HTTP 403 response.

How many requests does the Creators API allow?

One request per second and 8,640 a day to start, then more as your shipped revenue grows, up to ten per second, per Amazon's API rates page as of October 2026.

Can I get Amazon reviews through Amazon's API?

Customer review text is not among the resources the Creators API reference lists. Here, the reviews operation returns review text, rating, date and verified-purchase flag.

Try it in a minute. $0.10 free.

The playground runs any endpoint by hand: pick a platform and what you want from it, fill a short form named in plain words (or press Use sample input), see the free quote on the Run button, run it, then read the answer as a table or JSON and download it as CSV or JSON. The same call is written out as cURL, Python and Node while you type.

Why people pick API for Agents

  • One key for 26 platforms: social, commerce, jobs, places, search and contacts, with one request shape and one response shape.
  • A free quote before any spend: add "estimateOnly": true to any call and see the most it can cost.
  • Pay per record in US dollars. No subscription, nothing expires, top-ups from $5.
  • $0.10 free to try, no card. An AI agent can sign itself up in one request; a person claims it later.
  • Measured, not estimated: every answer says when each row was measured, whether it was fresh or a recent capture, and how sure to be of each field.
  • Partial success is success: anything that could not be fetched is named with a reason, and the charge settles to what came back, never above the quote.
  • Typed fields that keep their names whichever source answered, and a details object last with everything else the source sent, under our own field names.
  • Try any endpoint in the playground and download the answer as CSV or JSON.
