Canonical: https://apiforagents.dev/use-cases/lead-enrichment · Updated 2026-10-16

Turn a list of LinkedIn URLs into current titles, companies, locations and work history, then add each person's company: size, industry and website. No seat licence, no minimum contract, a quote before every batch.

- For: Sales and RevOps
- Billed: Per record
- Free to start: $0.10
- Minimum top-up: $5

## How it works

1. Collect LinkedIn profile URLs from your CRM, a form or a spreadsheet.
2. Send them ten at a time to the profiles operation and get each person's headline, location, skills and positions.
3. Take the current company from each person's positions and look it up with the companies operation for size, industry and website.
4. Write the fields back, keeping measuredAt so you know how fresh each value is.

## The calls

people, ten per call:

```json
{
  "op": "profiles",
  "subjects": [
    "satyanadella",
    "jeffweiner08"
  ],
  "fields": [
    "profile",
    "positions"
  ]
}
```

their companies:

```json
{
  "op": "companies",
  "subjects": [
    "microsoft"
  ]
}
```

## What it costs

At today's per-record prices, pay as you go. Quotes are free, records that do not come back are refunded, and a record your account already fetched today is free.

| Job | Records | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Enrich 100 leads | 100 profiles | $0.40 |
| Enrich 1,000 leads | 1,000 profiles | $4.00 |
| 1,000 leads and their 400 companies | 1,400 records | $5.60 |

## Questions

### Does enrichment include email addresses and phone numbers?

No. The LinkedIn API returns what is public on the profile: name, headline, location, skills, positions, followers. A profile carries no contact details; the contacts endpoint looks up a work email and mobile number by the same handle, priced per call.

### How fresh is the data?

Every row carries measuredAt and whether it was captured fresh or served from a recent capture. Ask with "freshness": "fresh" to force a new capture.

### Can I enrich from a name and company instead of a URL?

Use people search with the person's name and company to find the profile first, then enrich it. Matching by name alone can pick the wrong person, so check the result.

## Why API for Agents

- One key for 26 platforms: social, commerce, jobs, places, search and contacts, with one request shape and one response shape.
- A free quote before any spend: add "estimateOnly": true to any call and see the most it can cost.
- Pay per record in US dollars. No subscription, nothing expires, top-ups from $5.
- $0.10 free to try, no card. An AI agent can sign itself up in one request; a person claims it later.
- Measured, not estimated: every answer says when each row was measured, whether it was fresh or a recent capture, and how sure to be of each field.
- Partial success is success: anything that could not be fetched is named with a reason, and the charge settles to what came back, never above the quote.
- Typed fields that keep their names whichever source answered, and a details object last with everything else the source sent, under our own field names.
- Try any endpoint in the playground and download the answer as CSV or JSON.

## Start

The playground runs any endpoint by hand: pick a platform and what you want from it, fill a short form named in plain words (or press Use sample input), see the free quote on the Run button, run it, then read the answer as a table or JSON and download it as CSV or JSON. The same call is written out as cURL, Python and Node while you type. Open it at https://apiforagents.dev/dashboard/run (sign in first).
