# The best review data APIs ranked by what each returns.

> Eight review data sources ranked for 2026: Google Maps, Amazon, Tripadvisor, Booking.com, Yelp, Airbnb, Facebook and Google Play, with fields and prices.

Canonical: https://apiforagents.dev/best/best-review-data-apis · Updated 2026-10-21

The best review data sources are Google Maps reviews for local businesses, Amazon reviews for products and Tripadvisor or Booking.com reviews for travel, because each returns the review text, the rating, the date and the business's reply in one row. Yelp, Airbnb, Facebook and Google Play fill the gaps. Every one is priced per record, so you pay for the reviews that come back.

- Sources ranked: 8
- Google Maps reviews: $0.000225 per record
- Amazon reviews: $0.00045 per record
- Free trial: $0.10

## Each source, in order

- **[1. Google Maps reviews](https://apiforagents.dev/platforms/google_maps/reviews-api).** Reviews for up to ten places per call, by Maps URL or place id, with the text, stars, date, reviewer and the owner's response. Four sort orders: newest, most relevant, highest and lowest. You need the place first, so pair it with the Google Maps search, which returns place ids.
- **[2. Amazon reviews](https://apiforagents.dev/platforms/amazon/reviews-api).** Customer reviews for up to ten products by ASIN or product URL, on any of 12 Amazon marketplaces. The verified-purchase and Vine flags, helpful votes and the variant reviewed make it the strongest source for product feedback. Amazon caps reviews at 100 per product, so treat it as a sample, not the full history.
- **[3. Tripadvisor reviews](https://apiforagents.dev/platforms/tripadvisor/reviews-api).** One operation reads reviews for hotels, restaurants and attractions alike, by Tripadvisor URL. Filter by a minimum date, by star values and by review language. You need the place URL first; the three Tripadvisor search operations return it.
- **[4. Booking.com reviews](https://apiforagents.dev/platforms/booking/reviews-api).** Guest reviews for up to ten properties, with what the guest liked and disliked as separate text, the score, traveler type and room. Sort by newest, oldest, relevance or score, stop at a date, or keep only Booking's score bands (superb, good, average, poor). Properties are named by their booking.com/hotel URL.
- **[5. Yelp reviews](https://apiforagents.dev/platforms/yelp/reviews-api).** Reviews for up to ten businesses by yelp.com/biz URL or slug, with reactions, the reviewer's profile and the owner's reply. The business profile operation adds review insights by topic with sentiment and review highlights, which saves reading every review. It only covers businesses that have a Yelp page.
- **[6. Airbnb reviews](https://apiforagents.dev/platforms/airbnb/reviews-api).** Reviews for up to ten listings by URL or room id, with the host's response. Set a locale and reviews written in other languages come back translated. The review rows are lighter than Booking.com's; per-category ratings sit on the listing card instead.
- **[7. Facebook page reviews](https://apiforagents.dev/platforms/facebook/reviews-api).** Reviews and recommendations on up to five pages per call, by page URL or handle. The page card adds the review count and recommend percentage. It takes fewer subjects per call than the other sources here.
- **[8. Google Play reviews](https://apiforagents.dev/platforms/google/play-store-reviews-api).** Play Store reviews for up to five apps by package id or store URL. Filter by country and language, sort by newest, highest rating or most helpful, and see which app version each review was written on. It is the only app store source on this list.

## How to choose

- Go where your customers write: Google Maps and Yelp for local businesses, Amazon for products, Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Airbnb for stays, Google Play for Android apps.
- Find the subject first. Every reviews operation takes a URL, id or ASIN, and the search operation on the same platform returns them.
- Need the trend, not the text? Google Maps, Yelp, Tripadvisor, Amazon, Booking.com, Airbnb and Facebook each have a free history operation that reads stored rating or review-count series for subjects already held.
- Quote before a large pull. The quote is free and is the most the call can cost.

> **Verdict** Start with Google Maps reviews for local businesses and Amazon reviews for products. Add Tripadvisor or Booking.com when the subject is a stay.

## Questions

### Is there a free review data API?

New agents start with $0.10 free, enough to try every source here. After that each reviews call is paid per record. The history operations are free, but they only read series already stored.

### Can I get every review of a place?

Each call returns up to the limit you set, and Amazon caps reviews at 100 per product. Sort by newest to get the latest first.

### Which review sources include the business's reply?

Google Maps and Tripadvisor (owner response), Yelp (owner reply), Booking.com (property response), Airbnb (host response) and Google Play (developer reply).

### How much does a review cost?

Each reviews operation has its own list price: Google Maps $0.000225 per record, Amazon $0.00045 per record, Tripadvisor $0.0018 per record. Some calls carry a minimum, so quote first with "estimateOnly": true.

### Do I need a key from Google, Yelp or Amazon?

No. One account here reads all eight sources, and it never asks for a login on any of them.

## Why API for Agents

- One key for 26 platforms: social, commerce, jobs, places, search and contacts, with one request shape and one response shape.
- A free quote before any spend: add "estimateOnly": true to any call and see the most it can cost.
- Pay per record in US dollars. No subscription, nothing expires, top-ups from $5.
- $0.10 free to try, no card. An AI agent can sign itself up in one request; a person claims it later.
- Measured, not estimated: every answer says when each row was measured, whether it was fresh or a recent capture, and how sure to be of each field.
- Partial success is success: anything that could not be fetched is named with a reason, and the charge settles to what came back, never above the quote.
- Typed fields that keep their names whichever source answered, and a details object last with everything else the source sent, under our own field names.
- Try any endpoint in the playground and download the answer as CSV or JSON.

## Start

The playground runs any endpoint by hand: pick a platform and what you want from it, fill a short form named in plain words (or press Use sample input), see the free quote on the Run button, run it, then read the answer as a table or JSON and download it as CSV or JSON. The same call is written out as cURL, Python and Node while you type. Open it at https://apiforagents.dev/dashboard/run (sign in first).
